Tomas Ganamo, a smallholder coffee farmer, is passionately devoted to cultivating coffee on a six-hectare plot of land in the picturesque Bombe district of Sidama. Inherited from his father in 1991, it was previously used to grow teff and corn.

Inspired by the legacy, Tomas launched a new venture in 2005 with the addition of coffee. After years of selling cherry to a nearby mill owner, Tomas longed to have more control over the quality of his coffee and took a courageous step in 2018 by establishing his own mill on the farm. This momentous decision paved the way for Tomas to expand, and in 2020 he partnered with Lulo Coffee to reach new markets for his remarkable coffee. Tomas and his farm are well-respected amongst the other esteemed coffee farmers of Bombe, Sidama, a district renowned for producing outstanding coffee and commanding high cherry prices. His commitment to quality and sustainable practices are testament to his success.
