As soon as we tasted this coffee we knew it would be the perfect cup for our Christmas offering. With a creamy mouthful of buttery shortbread and your favourite festive flavours of chocolate and nuts (Ferrero Rocher anyone?!) it embodies the warmth, comfort and spirit that we love about this time of year.
Just like everything we do community is at the heart of this coffee - La Leona, from the San Marcos region in Guatemala. In this area different elevations and microclimates are giving the coffee seeds unique characteristics and traits and the volcanic soils give the coffee grown here unique citrus and floral notes not found in any other area. The harvest period in the higher altitude areas begins in late December and ends in mid or late March.
The producers that put together La Leona coffee are committed to quality. They have worked hard on their infrastructure over the years to improve the quality of what they do. Today, they are proud of the coffee that they produce and are excited about what the future holds
We want this coffee to be your calm amidst the chaos, whether you sip with your thoughts or share with your loved ones after the big meal.
