PARTNERSHIP - LA LEONA | GUATEMALA
La Leona is a coffee that beautifully represents the spirit and heritage of San Marcos, Guatemala. The lion, a historic symbol of the evangelist St. Mark, has long appeared across the world in statues, coins, flags, and insignias. In San Marcos, statues of the Lion of St. Mark stand as powerful symbols of faith, spiritual devotion, and the strength of the community.
Much like its namesake, La Leona embodies both elegance and character. With delicate floral aromas and subtle notes of orange and honey, this community blend is best described as the female lion, graceful, refined, and quietly powerful. The region is framed by two of Guatemala’s highest peaks, the Tajumulco and Tacaná volcanoes, whose presence defines the landscape. Their volcanic soils provide exceptional fertility, creating ideal conditions for producing high-quality coffee.
The producers behind La Leona are deeply committed to excellence. Over the years, they have invested in their infrastructure and refined their processes to continually improve quality. Today, they take great pride in the coffee they produce and look ahead with confidence and excitement for what the future holds.
