PARTNERSHIP: LOS MILAGROS | MEXICO
Chiapas, Southern Mexico
Los Milagros is not a single farm, but a network of small-scale, organic coffee producers in southern Mexico, primarily in the mountainous region of Chiapas, near the Guatemala border. These farmers are connected through Caravela’s sourcing and education programs, which focus on improving quality, sustainability, and long-term livelihoods.
Since 2019, more producers from remote communities have joined the Los Milagros network, gradually shifting their focus from volume to quality. Through access to training, infrastructure, and better market connections, these farmers are building more stable and sustainable futures within specialty coffee.
Community & Craft
At its core, Los Milagros is a collaborative effort. Smallholder farmers work together to improve processing methods, share knowledge, and elevate the overall quality of their coffee.
Carefully hand-picked cherries are processed with attention and precision, often using traditional washed methods. The combination of high altitude, organic farming practices, and thoughtful processing results in coffees that reflect both the landscape and the people behind them.
