Farm São José
Serra da Mantiqueira, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Sitting at 1,100 metres in the Serra da Mantiqueira mountains of southern Minas Gerais, Farm São José has been growing coffee for over 60 years. The estate is led today by Lillian, great-granddaughter of the farm's founder, who oversees every stage of production with a close focus on quality and environmental stewardship. Harvesting is done selectively by hand at peak ripeness, followed by careful drying, resting, and on-farm processing.
In the blend, São José brings the body - rich chocolate, caramel sweetness, and a smooth, rounded base.
Taita Washing Station
Consacá, Nariño, Colombia
The municipality of Consacá sits in the shadow of Galeras, the great volcano whose mineral-rich soil defines the quality of coffee grown here. To the indigenous Quillacinga communities, Galeras is known as Taita, a spiritual leader who seeks the well-being of all. It's a name that fits. Caravela began working with Consacá producers in 2016 after one placed second in the Cup of Excellence with a score of 92, and opened a dedicated purchasing station in the township of Bomboná in 2023 to give the community's coffees a permanent home.
In the blend, Taita brings the brightness - vibrant acidity, fruit-forward clarity, and a clean modern finish.
